Heading to the seaside for the bank holiday weekend? A new study from the expert team at Millets has found the seaside towns with the cheapest parking costs.<\/p>\n
The team looked at the average price for up to four hours parking and the average price for an hour\u2019s parking in each of the seaside towns. While Bournemouth Beach was the country\u2019s most expensive at \u00a32.30 per hour, luckily there are a few other beach spots with cheaper rates.<\/p>\n
Hartlepool seafront was the cheapest beach destination for parking in the UK with an hour\u2019s parking available for just 50p. While the port town in County Durham might not be top of many tourists\u2019 lists, there\u2019s plenty to do.<\/p>\n
From the National Museum of the Royal Navy to Seaton Carew Beach, Hartlepool is a great seaside day out. But where else will Britons find good value parking?<\/p>\n
While most of the cheapest seaside towns can be found in the north of the country, there are still a few fantastic options further south.<\/p>\n

More info<\/p>\n The best-rated beach in Hartlepool on Tripadvisor is Seaton Carew Beach which is a vast expanse of sand. However, tourists might need a wetsuit for a dip in the North Sea.<\/p>\n A tourist \u2018Brianthelion\u2019 wrote on Tripadvisor: \u201cLovely promenade walk. Great views and sea air blew the cobwebs away and worked up an appetite.\u201d<\/p>\n One visitor \u2018Jennifer R\u2019 said: \u201cWe love Seaton Carew and visit here many times throughout the year. The people here are friendly and the beach is wonderful for walking on. Lovely fish and chips and ice-cream.\u201d<\/p>\n At the other end of the scale, Bournemouth Beach and Southport Beach were the most expensive places for parking with each seaside town charging over \u00a38 for four hours.<\/p>\n A gorgeous seaside town in Devon was recently named the most popular destination for the August bank holiday by Tripadvisor.
